CROM CARMICHAEL:
Michael, I am watching what’s going on in Washington and across the country and primarily from the things that Democrats are doing and saying. And every time I think they can’t do something more self-inflicting, more wounds on themselves, they do Biden.
First of all, Biden is blaming high gas prices on Putin. But here’s what the American people know for a fact. The American people know that on Biden’s first day in office, he canceled the Keystone XL pipeline and halted new leases for ANWR, which is where we were producing a great deal of oil.
That’s the Alaskan Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, which was taking a teeny weeny little part of it, and drilling for oil. And then the next week, he banned new oil and gas leases on federal lands and waters.
And in June, he shut down exploration on existing leases in ANWR. And then in October, he increased the regulatory burden on building pipelines and other infrastructure.
And then in February, he limited leases in Alaska’s National Petroleum Reserve. And then he imposed regulations on measuring the escaping of minute amounts of methane.
Consequently, oil and gas production in the US. Is not anywhere near as high as it would have been having he not done those things. And the oil executives are in Washington for a meeting.
And Biden, they’ve offered to meet with the President of the United States to explain what they need him to do so that they can do their job to help lower energy prices. He refuses to meet with them. He will not meet with them.
But he is meeting with people who want to bend windmills off the coast of New England. And Peter Doocy pointed this out to the French lady who’s now the spokesperson and talking about another person who now is now in the contest for one of the biggest idiots in the Democrat Party.
And this is an expanding list. And what the contestants are doing to try to win the prize is, astounding Peter Doocy just simply asked, is not meeting with the oil executives a good idea?
And if he had met with them, might not help lower the cost of gasoline. And she says, well, let me take you back to Putin invading Ukraine. That was her answer. And now you’ve got Pritzker.
I don’t know if you saw this but this is hysterical. Pritzker in Illinois, the governor of Illinois, had a very large, very rich inheritance, he inherited his money, and he bought the governor’s mansion by spending $300 million of his own money.
He’s running for reelection, and he’s giving a gas tax holiday. Illinois has one of the highest gas taxes in the country. He’s giving a gas tax holiday through the end of the year, and he is making all of the gas stations in Illinois put a stamp on their gasoline meters saying that Pritzker is the one who lowered the tax.
But that’s all the executive order does, is tell them to say that. And so what the Gasoline Station Association is doing is they’re printing up a big thing that says all these other things about Pritzker that are incredibly negative.
And then there’s one little part in there about him lowering, I mean, you can’t even find it. I just think the reaction now people are now not scared of government right now, they are taking their fingers and sticking right in the eye of the idiots.
And the election in November, every time I think it can’t be any worse for the Democrats, they do something that makes me shake my head.
